Organiser Overview
The NTW Organiser is an informal and voluntary method of self organisation.

The three components of the organiser are:

1. DISCUSSION /BRAINSTORMING
If you want to work on a neighbourhood activity with others, the first step is to get some clarity through a bit of relaxed and informal chatting. If you do decide to cooperate on something you need to record what you have clarified. NTW’s on line discussion forum ‘Talking Point’ can be used as an aid to overcome some of the typical barriers.  At TP activities can be informally discussed, steps brainstormed and agreements made without the constraints, commitments and resources required by a more formal meeting structure.  (For those who don’t have the internet, discussion can be complimented by a community notice board, by face to face brainstorming   … and by free internet at the library.)

2. CALENDAR or PLANNER – where all jobs involved in a neighbourhood activity can be named

3. JOB CARDS - step by step ‘job cards’ that correspond to each job named in the calendar. )

The simple design of the NTW Organiser is tailored to the needs of neighbours who just want to get on with it but need an accessible, non-hierarchical way to organise a project and its associated jobs. It allows participants the freedom to get involved at a time and in a way that best suits them.
